Gun Registry to stay
Pathos @ Tue Dec 07, 2004 4:23 am
I'm truly sorry to hear that. Once again the elected leaders had an opportunity to do the 'right' thing and proved themselves incapable. Could this be an example of parliament facing off against a mighty bureaucracy and losing as is usually the way or lazy parliamentarians taking the easy route and looking after friends and of course the red party.
Either way, these Liberals have once again done this country a huge disservice.

I've come to expect this from my fellow Canadians. Despite the fact that the program doesn't work, costs us 100 times more than what we estimated, was only put in place because of Cretin's hatred for rural residents and the West, and helped find employment for the lazy assed people of New Brunswick (where the Gun registration is headquartered.)
The NDP and the BLOC all supported it as do 100 Liberals in Parliament.
If this was any other country, they're would be a massive public outrage. But as the last elections have shown us, the drooling Idiots in Ontario and Atlantic Canada simply re-elect these morons with a standing ovation, yelling "ENCORE!! ENCORE!!!"
Well Godz, we finally agree on one thing. The gun registry is a piece of crap. But why does it always come down to hate with you? "Chretien's hatred for the rural residents and the West." You know the reason. It's politically popular with the masses. That's it. You're such a drama queen.

I don't see any hate in there - where do you see it? I just see a poster with an opinion expressing his dissagpointment yet again with this country's ruling socialist party - who's the drama queen deancooo?

Godz I gotta agree with you, but without all of the insults of course. The gun registry is a huge scam to make Canadians think there being protected, while there rights are being taken away. I can't understand how people in eastern Canada could support this farce.
norad @ Tue Dec 07, 2004 9:53 am
How the hell are easterners supporting this bill? That is a fabrication and a half. Bigger population in Ontario alone than all 4 eastern provinces. How does that add up?
Deancoo is the only one that sees the light; it is popular with the masses, not east, west, central. The majority, big difference, but the masses are just as stupid as the government.
My father, being the miserable alcoholic he was, owned several guns. Not once did he ever threaten us with any of his weapons; not once. Guns don't kill people, although that is what the majority of them are made for, but people kill people. And, I might add, it is usually the criminal killing the people; not hunters; not guys that just go out to shoot a few clay pigeons; no, it's the pieces of crap that we let live in this society that kill people. Too bad the idiots in Ottawa, and the majority in this country, don't understand this.
Didn't Australia have such a registration program, and a few years later, the authorities went and collected all the registered guns? If that's true, this is what those idiots in Ottawa are up to. Yeah, way to go polichickens, let the criminals have the weapons and leave the rest of us to use knives for defending our homes against gun welding slime balls.
It’s less about guns and more about having a gig on the federal parole regardless of the department's usefulness. Perhaps it’s a way to transfer wealth into the area and make it look like a job.Heck I’d jump at a chance to get on with the Feds even if the job is bogus. Benefits and union can be a step from this private sector stuff.

hmmm... How about where (s)he wrote the word "Hatred". Would that qualify? Do you read these things Pathos, or do you just spout off whenever your pea brain feels the need?

There is the hate. I knew a gunner from the Royal New Brunswick Regiment that could fire a
C-6 GPMG with one hand standing and hit targets at 600 meters that would not take kindly to having his entire province being labeled 'lazy'.
Holy cow, you people sure throw the word hate around with much abandon. Guess it's lost it's true meaning to most.
