Seems there is a story on the news wires this morning that Harper refused to wear an Edmonton Oiler Jersey at the game last night!!!

I guess the lapp dog didn't want to be seen supporting a Canadian team therefore he might piss off the Americans!

Harper is MP for Calgary South......he supports them to the extent that a Flames fan can....hell I say him Hi five some fan after the Oilers scored thier second goal.

   

He said no to wearing Don Cherry's jacket too. What does that make him?

I notice it on lots of forums last few weeks,allmost like a stage some libs are going through as they realize their not in power anymore.

Agreed. There were political motives behind his not wearing an oilers jersey... he'd piss of his flamer constituonts. (spelling?) Other than the fact that the opposing team was from yankistan, there was no connection to the states whatsoever 9for the first time in eons when we look at canuck polotics)

Was good to see him at the game though... how often does any other world leader go to a national sporting event? Especially with minimal security. One of Harpers good qualities.
