$1:
However, this all seems to be going according to the predictions that the Conmen would be at least as bad as the Liberals in terms of honesty.

My list of "I told ya sos" is growing with every newscast, that's for sure.

:D

$1:
Next stage will them not passing much of anything the Liberals don't want.

Yup.

$1:
Soon enough there will be another Liberal majority

I hope not, but I expect that there'll be an election in the spring of 2007 and the Liberals will win. I just hope that it's a minority.

Tricks Tricks:
You talk about unethical and you supported NDP

Well said!

What I find funny is that Harper is supposed to pass all these things he promised without the House being in session?

Further, these people were parliamentary aides.....exempt from this pending legislation.

hamiltonguyo @ Wed Mar 29, 2006 10:04 pm

Harper can't do shit because he dosn't control them and he hasn't had the oppertunity to introduce the act to parliament yet...

Rev_Blair @ Wed Mar 29, 2006 10:24 pm

What's unethical about the NDP? They do their best to keep their election promises and to represent their constituents. Hell, they even answer questions.

Harper could have told these guys that they'd have no access in they tried to lobby government. No law required for that. He could have publically denounced them. No law required for that. He could have had them booted from the party. No law required for that either.

It's not like Harper is shy about imposing party discipline. Christ, he's been running around silencing his MPs for months now. He made promises and is offering lame excuses instead of keeping those promises.

Wada Wada:
Maybe we should have an ethics committee comprised of a half dozen bright fifth graders or would they be too honest. [huh]

Rev_Blair Rev_Blair:
all the friends of the Conservative Party seem to be too busy lobbying to run an enquiry.

Rev, i assume you are hoping for a Lib minority with a strong dosage of NDP to make the ballence of power? I'd be fine with that too, but one of the few things that i have in common with the new government is that I am uncomfortable with minorities 8)

But back to my question: if Harper and Martin were twins, who's the evil one? The devil we know or the devil we don't know?

dgthe3 @ Wed Mar 29, 2006 11:53 pm

Oh, and Rev, that list isn't exclusively yours. You have to share it with several thousand others accross the country, probably around a thousand members here on this website alone!

Every party in the country is corrupt. Every politician is a weasel in a busniess suit. They give used car salesmen a higher credibility rating. Accountability, transparent government.. all little catchy words and phrases to get elected then line thier pockets and thier friends and business associates pockets. The only accounability and ethics we will ever see from these self serving "lawyer rat bastards" is the acounability of thier money not yours ( it's your tax dollars but F**K you) and the ethics of GREED $$$$... They get in there swill around like pigs in the feeding through, wallow in the money, shit on the people and finish by snorting and squeeling before they have a nap at your expence with thier Platinum lined indexed pensions. To the regular joe six pack you and me... were all F**Ked up the ass by these creeps and thieves. We need new government in this country.. not these lacky bastards be them Liberal, Conservative or NDP. They are all pigs and should be run out of office.

Scape @ Thu Mar 30, 2006 1:01 am

If that were true then why is it not uniform?

Case in point you bring up the example of the corrupt car salesman. We know in Vancouver we have North America's most corrupt used car sales there, why? It isn't lack of regulation. So why is Calgary on the top and Vancouver at the bottom if all used car dealers are corrupt?

twister @ Thu Mar 30, 2006 1:12 am

Scape it used to be that people got into the business of serving people because they honestly thought there could be a change.. guys like chuck Cadman... my hat goes off for them but in general the weasals we tend to elect now becuase there isn't a theres no way in hell i would vote for anyone on this ballot box. we get to choose between the person whose going to screw us... or the person whose going to screw us... hmm sets see.. I'll try to vote for the person who will screw me the least... whoops that was a mistake......

Scape @ Thu Mar 30, 2006 1:21 am

My counter is that there still are and will always be Chuck (god bless him) Cadmens that know there is a job to do and do it. The majority that are called to power will bend as is the nature of politics but idealism is not dead. It's like a weed and it will keep coming.

Now for every Chuck (may he rest in peace) Cadmen there are piece of shits like Paul Reitsma. If everyone just threw up their hands Paul would still have a job. I see a certain Liberal turned Tory in the same boat. I say we do something. What say you?

ridenrain @ Thu Mar 30, 2006 8:55 am

Chuck Cadman was a REFORMER. He was elected as a REFORMER at the same time as Reform candidate Randy White, who was just as good a man, and a welcome change to the hacks that ran before. (Chuck was better on the guitar though)
His website still exists but you can't get to the press releases. I have them on CD and will post them.
He was no friend to the Liberals and if his press releases definitely prove that.

For all the lip service that's being ladled on him, they ignored or stonewalled all his proposals.
This is one constituent that definitely remembers.

Another storm in teacup and all the wimpy whiners are running for cover.

Have you guy's lost your teapot.

ridenrain @ Thu Mar 30, 2006 9:14 am

not enough out there like Chuck Cadman he definately was one in a million..
Now we have to deal with the hapers, the grewals, the dosanj's and the thousand other self serving people out there... It's all about how big a slice of the pie they get and to hell with everyone else... There needs to be political reform in this country and not the direction we are now heading...
