For the sake of "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" don't know if this is being covered in the form but I think its the single greatest threat to Canadas future. What do you think here's some links

In an awkward way it is Canadas responsibility to provide the US with its needs in numerous ways and the US to honor Canadian futures by not over exploiting Canada . There are people in this country that would like nothing better than to have all the resources left alone and for the purposes of Canadians only . Its not a very good argument when there are only 30 millon people in this country and there are needs not only in the US but elsewhere too . It will be exploited one way or another . It is only my opinion but when you sit on almost every resource imaginable and you don't do anything with it people come knocking .

   

The meaning of Leo Strauss' teachings, and their impact on modern politics, is, by itself, worth a great deal of discussion. I don't think that it relates very much to surrender of Canadian sovereignty, however. More just a sort of ethical rot that has drifted northwards.

If anyone here is familiar with Strauss, I look forward to dealing with that subject in a thread of its own.

yeah you are right it is worth a great deal of discussion but my opinions are way to strong on the subject so I'd probably do nothing for the topic but sound like I'm freaking out or even Fascist and contradictory , people don't need to hear that kind of crap . I presume it's you that edited the post above by Stormrider. Can I ask why? It's obviously not easy for me to tell what was said there, and if it was a valid line of discussion and debate. Was it genuine junk, or was it just stuff you didn't agree with? From the hints I can gather from the responding posts above, I think I might have found it interesting. I can't say I'd welcome the possibility of moderators arbitrarily chosing to delete posts they don't agree with. I thought there was a bit more of a procedure to ensure this doesn't get abused? But I don't want to jump to conclusions, this may have been genuine spam as you say, it's just hard to tell. Care to explain a bit more? Thanks.

It is not Canadas duty to supply the USA with our resources. Canada is an independent country and can compete on the global market regardless of our limited population.

There is nothing wrong with selling to the United States, however I think Canada should diversify and start selling to the EU and China. Huge markets that dwarf the United States.
