Which party would you vote for? I think it's timely, since we've got one week left until it's a year since the last election. As such, the poll will run for just 1 week.

It's no secret that I would vote Liberal - I wear my political affiliation on my sleeve, but also on the sidebar to the left.

However, I'll be doing so much more enthusiastically this time around. While I've always thought the Liberal party was the best option for the majority of Canadians who look for a mix of progressive policies combined with social and fiscal responsibility, I think Stéphane Dion is already starting to offer something especially good. I'm personally glad to see the Party shift back to the left of centre with a leader that has such a deep understanding of the issues that effect Canada and the confidence to bring them forward.

I love Canada too much to vote for the divisive Liberals or the politically insane NDP.

I'd hold my nose and vote for the left of centre Conservative Party.

I'd probably vote Liberal since the NDP's Afghanistan position has turned me away from them (for now at least).

tough decision ...easy decision ....hmmm what the hell I'd vote for Tony Blur :? :P

Is 15 votes all I'm gonna get?

Voted CPC.. 'natch!
We saw 13 years of corruption and dithering and now they want back in with all the same old people.
Same people, same attitude, same results.

Where's the option for spoiling your ballot? That's what I'll be doing, and what every sensible person will be doing. I vote for "not going to vote" in this poll.

Avro Avro:
[won't vote for] NDP because they aren't fiscally responsible enough.

I'm sure this is gonna come across as nothing more than sticking up for my party, but this position really irks me.

I ask you this: Which NDP government ran up the federal debt? Which NDP government ran up the Alberta debt, recently retired by the conservatives as only they can? All four Maritime provinces have debts and have-not status, and yet none of them have ever given the NDP a government. Neither has Quebec.

In short, all provinces in Canada have at one point or another run up massive debt, and yet the NDP has had opportunity to lead only four out of ten. The NDP has never led a federal government, and yet there is federal debt, incurred by decades of Conservative and Liberal rule.

This whole "NDP will financially ruin Canada" thing is flat false at best and a fearmongering lie at worst.

What? So if all of Canada was sensible, then we would not elect a new government. That's brilliant, you're a fucking idiot.

Easy tiger. Don't let that teen angst get the best of you.

If we all spoiled our ballots it would send a message to politicians that we want them to start being policymakers instead of schoolyard children just trying to get the best "diss" in The House of Commons.

Our political system is broken. Equalization is broken. Canada is broken. Something major has to change if this country is going to exist much longer.

No it wouldn't. We aren't talking about the brightest people in the world remember? Only a few would get it, and it would waste millions of dollars and skew the election.

Canada isn't broken. It just needs some changes, which are coming under this government.

If you vote for a politician who does not effectively represent you, then you are skewing the election. No politician represents me, so I would be failing in my duty as a citizen if I did anything other than spoil my ballot.

Yes they did wonders for British Columbia. I'm sure they would run Canada in a similar idiotic fashion. Pretty much tax the rich to feed the poor is their solution to everything. Oh and the constant anti-Americanism ramblings and targeting even though they are the ones probably putting food on the table for half the people in this country. They essentially want Canada to become more of a welfare state like Europe, which is unproductive, unmotivated, and underachieving itself. Fear mongering indeed there is much to fear if the NDP with Jack Layton at its helm ever get hold of Canada.

As for who I would vote for it will be whoever gives British Columbia more political and economic independence from Ottawa.
