I don't know how devoted Evangelicals are to Trump but I can understand why they voted for him - assuming they did.

Indeed. A liberal Supreme Court might have reversed the rulings on campaign financing which eliminated all limits. That would have curtailed the power of the wealthy to buy politicians. It also might have done something about the absurd gerrymandering taking place in congressional seats.
Campaign financing and gerrymandering...those are big issues for evangelicals, are they?
Could've fooled me. I don't know a lot of evangelicals, myself. I'll take your word for it, I guess. Seems unlikely though. I would expect them to be more worried about issues like religious freedom.
The only thing they seem to care about is abortion. They voted Trump so he would ban abortion and homos, or at least, appoint the kind of judges who would do so. They don't read the bible or care about the bible. They certainly ignore the ten commandments and phrases like "it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven", and "thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife". No, their whole bible consists of "Thou shalt not have abortion' and 'thou shalt not be a faggot'.

For example if they ran a business, like say Hobby Lobby, under Trump and his new supreme court justice, they might not have to supply the morning after abortion drug on the grounds it would be against what they saw as their religious principles.

Just making the point that we didn't vote for him only over abortion. He's not reliable on that topic...either way.
What we did was we voted against Hillary and business as usual.
Keep in mind I've long said that I would've voted for Bernie had the race been Bernie vs. any of the fourteen Republican toadies who ran in 2016.

You didn't vote for him. You don't speak for all the people who voted for him. He made it very clear his thoughts on Abortion during the campaign. No doubt the moronic religious right clung to it and voted for him because of it.
