Also the endless finger-pointing between Federal/Provincial/Municipal governments about who is responsible.
You are correct though, this has been an issue for decades now. Here and all across the country and it has gotten worse every damn year.
Part of the problem IMO is that those we elect have little or no freaking first-hand knowledge of anything to do with affordability, whether it's housing, utilities or fucking grocery costs. They just pretend to or parrot what their teleprompters say to say.
