Well, as someone who has had to live on minimum wage, I disagree. I, and a lot of my friends, were pretty damn grateful for minimum wage.

Without minimum wages, some employers would be charging employees to work for them.

Sixteen tons, and what do you get?

I owe my soul to the company store.


In the days of yore this kind of arrangement was parallel to sharecropping and it was a form of indentured servitude.

We still have the same arrangements it's just that the form of the arrangement is less obvious and straightforward.
