"agreed quietly to give in to the provinces demand" I really thought the Harper government cared about intregrity and fairness but as you see in the populations listed below, he just trying to buy votes in the east. I think I really have lost all hope in our political system.

Ontario population = 12,928,996 Currently 106 seats + 21 more = 1 seat per 101803 people

Alberta population = 3,585,142 with 28 seats = 1 seat per 128041 people.

going by that ratio, I am expecting 7 or 8 more seats in Alberta.
