"Take that pipeline, bitch. Take it!" ha ha ha.

The line'll get built and all you Albertans will have left is a big pile of drawers that you shit hemorrhaged in.

Happy 4/20, Zippy. Have a few more puffs to take the edge off of some of the antipathy you've got going there. :roll:

No antipathy, old friend. I seriously give zero fucks about the pipeline, other than everybody needs to chill the fuck out. Horgan is doing what he said he'd do. He knows he's going to lose, but he ran on opposing the pipeline, so he has to.

Notley--same thing. Bunch of showboating for the locals.

They're both getting everybody all riled up, when the end game is all but pre-ordained--that pipeline is going through.

My business used to be oil spills. I've forgotten more about oil spills than most of these enviroweenies will ever know.

Musqueam indian band pulled out of the Supreme Court appeal against KM yesterday, but were a bit mum as to why. I smell a backroom deal. Other bands are talking high-level with Ottawa or KM; most will cut a deal I think, and those left won't have the clout to stop it. This ain't Standing Rock.

I'm just taking the piss, as the Brits say.

Well said.

I just wish they would all shut up and get on with it already. I'm sick of the back and forth bs because it doesn't change anything. The decision was made whether everyone likes it or not.

me too. Are you allowed to drive stoned today, or is that still frowned upon?

Thanos @ Fri Apr 20, 2018 2:55 pm

Hopefully frowned upon due to the number of merely mellow drivers being outnumbered by the ones so looped they pass out behind the wheel. Edibles are way too intense for me to even consider it.

Why are you posting pictures of trains? You couldn't even get one to carry grain or lumber today if you wanted to, so they're irrelevant to the conversation. Throw in there aren't 5000 oil cars laying around unused, double tracks trough the canyon or a train unloading facility or room for one at the Westridge tanker terminal. So how about giving up wasting bandwidth with the same meaningless bullshit every time there's a bump in the road.

But nooooo.... gotta go back to the same old shit.

$1:
Given that Kinder Morgan is as the left likes to point out, a private company which, will be the primary financial winner from the twinning of the pipeline this ruling does nothing to rectify the issue of Alberta refusing to send oil to BC.

You're commenting "the left" has to point out the right's own economic philosophy, and not seeing yet another PITA thrown into the mix when it's been specifically pointed out?
Be nice to see someone point a route to a solution instead of when seeing another brick in the wall propose getting more bricks. All I see is a situation where hubby wants a new car, the wife points out some financial adjustment would be needed and all hubby's buddies suggest calling her names, beating her more or threatening to buy an even worse car would solve the problem.

You're asking for a solution when maybe the question should be who's willing to try and find one.

The Province of Alberta, Kinder Morgan and the Federal Gov't have pointed out that legally the pipeline can be twinned but nobody on the other side seems to be willing to listen.

The route to a resolution for the anti pipeline crowd is no pipelines period which, isn't a solution but demand. So, given their unyielding belief that only "they" know what's best for Canada, this project and others like it have turned anything to do with carbon energy into a war between the realistic majority and the lunatic fringe who, from their recent actions appear to have no intention of obeying silly little things like, court orders, constitutions or the will of the majority.

IMO the best solution for the pipeline would be:

To treat BC just like the Natives and pay them more for use of the land;

Reroute the twin line to a less congested port outside Hollyweird North (maybe Squamish)

Ensure by conducting yearly safety checks on they system and infastructure that all safeguards possible are in place and current;

Make sure KM always has the resources to deal with a spill and that they'll pay for "all" of any problems that occur.

Unfortunately nobody seems to want to budge or even listen so the only solution for this conundrum might just be the end of the constitution as we know and if that happens there's going to be some very unhappy people wandering around. :D

Gonna have to talk the boys into seeing some concerts again someday down the line just to do the experience. Incredible to me how much the goodies enhance the music where the layering and mixing becomes more distinct in my ears. Don't know if the same thing would happen with smoking because edibles cause an enzyme change of some sort in between the liver and the bloodstream that's positively psychedelic.

Nicely put Zip.

BTW it's now called "Extracting the Urine" :D

Others telling you what I've already said weeks ago, it's a done deal.
I'd even say it's all over but the crying, but KM's now got everyone prepared to actually pay to get the least possible benefits in the long run.

Look back in a couple years when it's built, you're paying $2.50/L anyway and a $20 environmental surcharge on your boating & fishing license.
