Rear Admiral Svend

- BC PREMIER CAMPBELL, in a heartwarming display of non-partisan thinking, has today made former NDP MP Svend Robinson the new head of the BC Ferry Service aka Wacky's Navy.
- The premier stated that henceforth Mr. Robinson would be known as Rear Admiral Robinson of the BC Ferry Service and observed that the one time MP was "a real gem of an executive, a steal for this job, and an expert at going down at sea or anywhere else."
- Campbell told the assembled media that Rear Admiral Robinson would not take up his new duties as the "head" of the ferries until he had completed the hundred hours of community service that are part of his recent conditional discharge from his theft case.
- Rear Admiral Robinson is currently serving his community service as a trauma counseller for teenaged former alter boys who had served under defrocked Catholic priests.
- The premier admitted that choosing a long time political opponent for this senior postion was not an easy decision to make. But apparently what made up his mind were the innovative marketing ideas of Mr. Robinson that might finally out the BC Ferry Service in the black. Specifically, his plans for luxury (Blue Diamond Service) one way cruises to Cuba for gay BC socialists looking for cuban love slaves gave Svend a leg up on the competition. Premier Campbell particularly liked the "one way" aspect of this bold new plan.
- New Rear Admiral Robinson celebrated his new appointment by initiating into service BC's latest ferry including breaking a bottle of viagra over its side and blowing the ferry whistle.
