I'm currently reading about the Finland education system, and how they reduced their Education Minister and also eliminated School boards.
In Quebec school boards cost around 1.8 billion dollars.
And lately, several made the headlines as they spent that money on personal expenses, laptops for students, and other abuses.
Was wondering how other provinces deal with School boards, or if most are thinking about eliminating them?
School boards are fucking useless. The one where I am screws so many people over. (trust me, been there, done that, got the T-Shirt)
I'm in favour of allowing chartered schools into the system, and then gradually eliminating the boards once the chartered schools take off.
