Folks real Canadians are now starting to wear Red Colors on Fridays as a symbolic gesture to support our Troops regardless of where they are stationed and what they are doing.

CFRA here in Ottawa is currently supporting that idea and perhaps Rick Gibbons the owner of The Ottawa Sun may soon publish a Red Card for all those who support our brave men and women who wear Canada's Military Uniforms.

This idea will greatly improve all of our soldiers attitude, boost their morale and make them stronger when they have to do battle with terrorist insurgents.

I just heard on CFRA from a caller that all Radio Stations across this country of ours should play Canada's National Anthem at noon every day in support of our troops. Love it !!

This is great, proud Canadians will do this.

It's all over 580 CFRA too.

I wear a poppy on Remembrance Day, which honours all wars and those currently serving and those who served before.

Must. Find. Red.

This is a good idea. But I think I have a better one.

How about: support our troops -- stop bullying dissenters. They keep us war supporters honest, and force us to be sure that the cause our service men and women are fighting and dying for is really worth the sacrifice (at least I believe it is).

I'll be wearing red on Fridays from now on - pretty easy to do when I have a bunch of red USMC stuff!

Seriously - I'm happy to see Canadians taking pride in their troops - you folks have some great people in the CF who truly love Canada - they must because they sure aren't doing it for the money!

Problem is this is extremely corrosive to the morale of the troops. It's unbelievable to me that our troops have kept such high morale, considering they have been the budget whipping boys for decades, but to add Jihad Jack questioning the mission every day is just too much.

Reasonable debate is one thing but that's not what we're hearing from our media. A number of us struggle to present good news and our victories, but we can't make peope read it. The media is doing a diss-service to Canadians and the forces in this matter.

Maggiemygosh @ Thu Sep 07, 2006 11:30 am

The CBC is the very worst of the lot followed closely by the Toronto Fiberal Star.

Both of these media idiots have demeaned our military for years including up to this minute and they refuse to seriously inform the public of truth and facts. Instead they lie and lie and lie and spread misinformation.

Lefty media jerks are to blame !!

Since I still wear CADPAT on Fridays, I have my wife lookin' for red gitch, as a red T would surely attract the IRE of the RSM....

time to break out my old Canadian Airborne tshirt, not red but close enough.

Time to let people like Jihad Jack know when he says Canadians dont want our troops in Afghanistan, that he's full of shit.

Every friday folks were red....
