As I've stated, I don't like Bush, didn't vote for him, but I find no excuse to burn our flag, and I've stated why. Why you think it's cool to burn flags, and that it's some symbolism, is beyond me. I suppose I just look at things from a more mature and understanding point of view. while you all enjoy burning flags and basically saying fuck you to every American. The American people didn't re-elect Bush, slightly over half did. See, you throw out a false statement to justify your point of view. American people implies that 300 million people voted for Bush. I have enough reasoning ability to understand that if your leader did something I didn't like, and only about half your population voted for that leaders re-election, that it isn't the Canadian people who voted for him, just half of them, and I wouldn't go out burning your flag which represents those who I don't agree with and those that I do. A flag represents everyone, not just half the population. How many times do I need to drum that through to make you people understand that? Why would I want to go to a country that burns or defaces my flag, which is something that stands for who I am. I believe in my constitution and what democracy stood for. George bush doesn't deserve to represent that flag.

It isn;t what I think is cool or not...it has historically been a way to make a political statement about the actions of a government. That's why you see American protestors doing it too.

Yet everytime we mention that we get a bunch o people screaming that he won in a virtual landslide.

Well I'm not one of those, I'm just against flag burning because I think that it doesn't advance liberal causes, gives conservatives ammunition against liberals, and that the American flag shouldn't be burned by American protestors who are for democracy, because that was what it represented. Those who burn it are burning something that(george bush aside)DOES represent democracy and the american people on a whole. Those who use it as a political statement should try to make their statements more clear, because the flag doesn't represent Bush, it represents democracy, freedom, and the American people on a whole. Anyone who hates democracy, freedom, and American people can go ahead and burn it. All of that aside, this doesn't mean that everyone in the US understands those principles.

Increasingly the American flag represents repression, colonialism, and illegal wars. Your leaders wrap themselves in it. Your military flies it when your leaders send them on foreign adventures. It might represent something different to you, Johnny, but for more and more people around the world Old Glory represents the exact opposite of democracy and freedom.

That exactly what Osama and his ilk say, and no one else beyond ARABIA AND ISLAMIA...

I think the black flag of Islam is more eligible for your descriptions, but then how can you distinguish the truth with your blind hatred of anti-America that is veiled by anti-bush?

You are a disgrace to your own...

Ok, Sorry...I'll give it another try.... :D

but then how can you distinguish the truth if you only used your blind hatred as an anti-American hatred and veiled it by an anti-bush hatred?

I'd like to weigh in on this one... :)

Point #1. Human you're an idiot...

Point #2. Johnny, I know where you're coming from...I remember during the 1992 World Series...you know the one where Toronto beat your sorry American asses the first time...anyway, the Marine Corp marching band came out with the Canadian flag upside down...pissed off a few Canadians...but we as a nation took it in stride, and when the Braves came to the Skydome, the vendors made a killing selling upside down American flags... :D

Point #3. Human you're an idiot...
