To get back at the elites they voted in a billionaire who lives in a gold palace. Go figger. But I kinda see their point. I'm liberal but I get annoyed when people liberalsplain stuff to me.
Everybody on this board is a 1%-er. We are all the elite as far as the rest of humanity goes, and we maintain our status as the elite through control of the economy and the will and ability to crush whomever gets in the way. You are there, liberal, because your ancestors cleared the Indians out the way you'd clear a patch of land of trees. You are there, liberal, because decrepit buidlings filled with serfs toil for slave wages to make things that you use and then throw away.

On the contrary, I think to be liberal means precisely that you are aware of these things and don't simply take them for granted. You look to make amends where possible (e.g. with FNs), and continuously seek to minimize such damages going forward. Even if that means you will have to pay more for things that are not made by slaves and serfs. To be conservative, to me, means the exact opposite.
