I am a single mom with 2 boys, both with ADHD and the youngest has Autism. There is no funding!!!!!!!! Once a child with Autism reaches the age of 6, his funding is cut in half for therapies. I have lost 3 jobs in 9 months due to no daycare funding for kids with special needs. For him it costs $20.00 an hour. He needs a one on one worker. It fustrates me to no end. They don't want you on welfare (which I would never do) but the choices are few. Family daycare does not benefit him at all. His daycare, all the staff are trained for children with special needs. They have brought him along way. I want to create a good life for my boys but whats a girl to do? It hurts.

   

Perhaps you should seek either financial or social assistance from your family, ex-husbands family, your Church or your community. I am not sure about the joblessness bit though since in another thread you claimed to work for a Ministry ostensibly in social services. As a government hack your union has negotiated, depending on which government, considerable benefits in addition to employment protection should you require a deeper involvement with your children in order to correct the behaviour.

However, based on evidence from some of your other posts it is more likely that you are a left wing flake with a propensity for fabricating maxims in support of your twisted ideology.

Trust me, its you. I do work for the ministry. I had to turn my employment to casual because of daycare. Lost previous jobs. Sorry I didn't write every little detail so you could pick it apart. What was I thinking? I guess you can rip me apart to show how smart you are. What are you gonna say when someone else with a child with special needs comes on and says the same thing? They are all flakes too? I don't need your condesending BS.

I work for them and I cannot even help myself. If you have ever worked with Autistic children then you would know. Do you have and Autistic child? Do you know what causes Autism? I doubt it. Do you know if I gave my child to foster care someone else would get anywhere from $2000-$3000 a month. Walk in my shoes, then talk to me.

   

The condescending opinions here are expressed by you. Everyone has their metaphorical cross to bear and in an open forum were people exercise both an avenue for dealing with personal grief mixed with a significant part hyperbole, picking fact from fiction can be like picking flyshit from pepper. If you do not wish your personal experiences to be held to public scrutiny refrain from posting them. If you are seeking sympathy you may wish to consider alternate forms of therapy.

   

Hey hardass, who is seeking sympathy? I take extreme pride in my kids and if someone knows a solution I want to hear it. I take care of my family by myself and proud of it. When times get tough, I power through it. I was raised quite well. The difference is I live it, you judge it. You can call me names all you want if that makes you feel better and more superior. My dads family was all in the military so I am use to dealing with people like you. I give you props for being the military, but holy crap....relax.

Its your job to decide what is fact and what is fiction? Sorry but people who are in these forums are not looking for way to rip each other apart. Share opinion and ideas. Agree or disagree, not to rip that individual apart. Have your fun, be a jerk and have a good life.

Move to Alberta. They cover all costs out there. I saw a show about it once. An Ontario mother had the same difficulties. She discovered every single one of her costs would be covered over there in Alberta. Strange since Alberta is as far from being a socialist province as there could be. Go ahead. Check it out. The mother mentioned above moved herself and her kids to Alberta. She has been happy as a clam since then.

Now I did not know you were a government employee. There goes any sympathy I had for you. I have zero for those who have held me and mine hostage through denial of services for too long. Tell me, how does it feel to have the shoe on your foot for once? With a powerful union such as yours blackmailing us into paying you and yours far more money than you are worth and obtaining benefits those in the private sector can only pull their cocks out and masturbate about. Sympathy? You must be kidding me. As you are a government employee you are not an average Canadian. I would suggest you take your benefits and stuff them where the sun don't shine.
