^ AGREED! ^
I would rather Alberta remain within Canada than be forced to separate.
I've lived in quite a few places in BC over the years and I can honestly say that I have never heard anyone start to discuss BC separation. Not in a pub, restaurant, barber shop, or even at work and we have political conversations with customers all the time around the coffee maker. So me thinks this great ground swell of support for separation, is just a fart in a wind storm.
I'm from Vancouver B.C and i moved to Ontario and people here have been treating me like gold ...why do ppl from B.C treat ppl from Ontario like shit TORONTO IS NOT ALL OF ONTARIO PS VANCOUVER STILL KICKS ASS
Perhap separation not so much the answer as getting a new electoral system. The Swiss had a good basic idea that would allow even a regular person to introduce a bill that may eventually br brought to vote on either in their canton or province or eventually country- wise. As well, their electoral system does not seem to be ruled by money the same way as here. Some of their best leaders have been common working stiffs like us folk. What we do need to do as western provinces is to get off our duff and get more politically involved, even voting !
Of course, the question is: how much do we change the system? If we aren't careful, we'll take something that's broke and fix it until it's really, really broke.
Where can a person find information about this?
Is it like BC and alberta doing more joint things to save time and money?
