Thank you for signing up! You might be interested in reading these FAQ entries before posting much here:
What logical fallacies should I avoid when debating with other members of Vive?
What is considered unacceptable content?

To everyone else, I've replied to rabblewatch's blog post by email already, and he claims he'll rebut every argument with dedicaction and verve on his blog.
Basically, I'm just going to write articles on how vivelecanada.ca's agenda is repackaged racism, and I'll also be writing whatever else I think needs a serious bitchslap on the left (like rabble.ca)

Enjoy.
You'd think starting a blog based on a logical fallicy is already the road to trouble.

Ahh well, it's his money to waste on the blogspace.
Marcarc @ Tue Nov 08, 2005 4:58 pm

It'll be interesting, I've often noticed latent racism and even active racist, but not by site administrators but by posters, which is something quite different.

There is usually very little coverage of native issues, and there are plenty, but there are also lots of issues in the world and no site can cover everything. We've had the debate before about whether allegiance to a central form of government which effects such control and genocidal tendencies on natives is racism. Whether thats worth a blog or not is anyone's guess.

Looking at his/er blog, I certainly did not get the impression that rabblewatch was worried about the issues that Mararc is mentioning. Rabblewatch seemed worried about the amount of US bashing on Vive. I personally think it has gone down significantly and that is most healthy.

I can sometimes be sympathetic to some neocons ways such as slash&burn when the state bureaucraties get out of control, which they certainly do. The Manifeste of Canadian Sovereignty incorporated IMHO some "right wing" neocon practices. It would be interesting to see Rabblewatch comments on that Manifeste. We certainly did not get much from the Vive crowd.

Looked at the blog. Interesting content. A little over the top for me.

It's too bad he's since decided to focus on personal attacks instead of actually arguing anything. His latest rebuttal is a picture of me in a nazi uniform. Clever.
His latest rebuttal is a picture of me in a nazi uniform. Clever.
Yea, I thought that in rather poor taste too. Funny how he complains 'if I posted this comment on vive, I'd get banned', but the comment itself doesn't voilate our policies, but yet, he has his blog require that posts be approved by him before being visible. Those he doesn't approve of probabally get deleted. Yet, unbanned he remains.

Pot, meet kettle.
I have since disabled that 'moderator' function (I didn't know that it required me to 'approve' of posts, I just thought it prevented spambots.

So don't sweat it fuckface.

Quit assuming things and making an ass of yourself.
So don't sweat it fuckface.

Quit assuming things and making an ass of yourself.
Mommy mommy! He called me a bad name! That must mean his argument is stronger than mine, and he has bested me!

Woe is me . . .I shall now have to withdraw from the Internet in shame.

Why did you dress Jesse in the uniform of your leader, anyhow?
Jesse @ Wed Nov 09, 2005 1:12 pm

Yeah, I wondered about the hypocrisy of him moderating comments too.

Dr Caleb @ Wed Nov 09, 2005 1:18 pm

I figured him out. He probabally thinks we're too 'liberal' because the Criminal code of Canada frowns on threatening to kill people.

I can see you guys have met rabblewatch too. what a case...

He has been slamming CKA the last couple days.
I can't beleive we allowed him free reign on the CKA forums.

He was really attacking our support of the "No to Deep Integration" but don't worrk CKA would not remove it.

We are contacting blogger about the use of copyright images and hate speech on his blog. I see that he attacked Vive before CKA and used some of your logos, you might want to send blogger a complaint as well.

Lets stick together againsts these nutcases.

Dr Caleb @ Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:30 am

Hear hear!

But they just don't learn nothing if the aren't allowed to ask these really dumb questions. Correction: there are no dumb questions, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots.
