I hope someone from vive can attend, then come back and give a review of the debate. Hopefully its recorded and posted on David Orchard's site.

Kevin
I can tell you Kevin that it was a lively debate. Jim Flaherty was less reactionary than I expected him to be, and had several supporters in the crowd. A professor [forget her name] was also in attendance. I'll look that up. She seemed to side with David's populist message more often than not, based on her research.

There were the usual neo-conservative contradictions, including Flaherty arguing against the "left-right" argument [which I agree is simplistic] while using left-right arguments during the debate. He values work, freedom, privatization...didn't mention how little he was willing to work for though.

Though Flaherty is a trooper, his political slickness from years in office made you realize that although he probably believes what he says, he wasn't willing to discuss all issues in great depth. Still, he did seem relatively sincere...
Thanks. Did you see any camera's? I'm hoping the davidorchard.com site will have the video clip.

Kevin

One looked like a smaller camera used by students at York University's Glendon College. The second was much bigger, so yeah it looks like it will be in a video or on the web, maybe both.
