The Bloc has always been depicted as plain evil in the ROC. The Conservatives probably think this more than ever with this gay marriage vote but the Conservatives are becoming irrelevant more than ever too, in spite of the federal Libs major screwups.

From an article like this one, is the perception in the ROC actually changing? Can Bloc (the PQ) and their constituent actually adjust to a scenario where they are no longer depicted as evil??? They have have often if not always play on this image IMHO. With this new confidence in themselves in front of the ROC no longer depicting them as pure evil, could they possibly develop a policy to deal with increased sovereingty of FHQs for instance, while still pursuing their own???

Future will tell.

It also says a lot that Duceppe changed horses from Marxism to 'the cause' of Quebec independance. What will the next 'cause' be? That sounds harsh, but I dislike the pedestal that politicians get put on, no matter their party. It is extremely easy when you've only got one position on issues-Quebecs. Other parties don't have that luxury. The article also belittles voters intelligence, particularly the line about Ontarians suddenly switching sides when Reform says "no more PM's from Quebec", that's just out and out hilarious!
Likewise remarks about how votes go seem to indicate that it's more Duceppe's 'experience' rather than how comfortable Quebecers may feel in Canada.
