If you enjoy high tempo and heated forums, you should check this site out:

Army.ca

I've been a mbr for a while myself. I stopped posting becuase of the heated and out of control threads. But, some people thrive on that kinda stuff, which is why I thought I would put it out there.

There are some good reads there and some well read individuals. When the debates get into flaming I just move on because anything usefull is gone.

I found it was being spoiled by the uneducated rantings of senior army cadet kids and people that have been to the recuiting center once or twice. That kinda crap just pisses me off. I found myself getting too wound up in the "I've spilt more beer in a mess than you've drunk" attitude.

Don't get me wrong, great forum. I've just had enough. Not my cup of tea.

They made me change my name on there.

I though that LargePrivates was most appropriate.

Those guys are lame. I found all they wanted to do on Army.ca was pat one another on the back and tell stories about how superior they are to the US Army.

I put a post on there last year about what I felt were the leadership failures of Liberal Senator, and former Canadian mental patient, Romeo Dallaire. It went on for about 8 pages, but it was way to interesting for those clowns so they locked it down and deleted it.

I deliberately got myself kicked off the site after that.

Their loss.

feel free to post in the CKA military forum, and get it more active.

Canadaka Canadaka:
feel free to post in the CKA military forum, and get it more active.

All the forums on this site are awesome Trevor. You allow a pretty free reign on the forum participants and I think that's great.

I say that as someone whose been the subject or more than a few personal barbs.

I think open debate is a strength, regardless of style or tone.

Is this forum (I mean army.ca) just for Members of the Canadian Armed forces or are civilists allowed?

GhostDog3 @ Fri Jan 13, 2006 6:15 am

Everybody.Sometime it becomes personal and they kick you out like if it is a private site.

GhostDog3 @ Fri Jan 13, 2006 6:16 am

The kicking is rare.
