This is my site. TOTALLL FREE! I got the idea for it and paid a fellow 'BIG $$$' to help me set it up and run it, as I don't have the 'know-how'.He 'took the money and run with it!' The site is now sitting in limbo.
The premise was for anyone with questions, suggestions, solutions in the reno business to be able to pick the brains of experts as well as just general reno discussion.
Perhaps at sometime in the future flooringpros.ca will generate an income thru ads to support itself, but again I only got the basic idea and certainly not the 'expertise' to make this work. Any suggestions-help would be much appreciated

Hey FB I would certainly be interested in anything you could/would do in regards to flooringpros. I did pay a lot ,+ $3,000 for what I have to date!( includes 1 puter) It just seemed that he was always comming up with new expenses and not doing anything until I finally said 'ENUFF ALREADY!' As I stated earlier, I don't have the 'smarts' to run a web site. I wanted to get a flooring site-chat/advice/solutions, pics etc for professionals and the week-end warrior alike. As far as I know , flooringpros is still the ONLY and certainly the FIRST of it's type in Canada. I would at some point like to expand to other trades and reno type problems. As well, I am aware that with a lot of traffic, the sale of ad space is quite real. To this end I am prepared to offer what I think is a very good deal to the right individual. Obviously tho, I am not sure how to spot such a personl! So I welcome all suggestions and help. If this is not the 'correct way' of discussing 'flooringpros', (open forum) please advise me. Thanks

The concept of the site is a great idea, but like was sad above, you got ripped off hard. The way that site was designed, it's something most high-school kids could do these days.

What type of marketing plan did you have for your site? How were you going to let people know about it?

I would assume, based on the design, that the guy doesn't know much about optimizing a site for search engines.

The design itself was one that I chose. I wanted a fairly simple look as well as easy to navigate. This of course came about after looking at the few other sites of the same nature. I still like simple operation for the 'visitor'. I must say that I like the layout/ operation of CKA but would not 'plagiarize' their site.An easy to operate format as well as ease of posting pics is what I am after.
As far as a marketing plan goes, the original intention wasn't to make money, as has been pointed out to me since flooringpros inception.www.flooringpros.ca was originally going to be a hobby. a way for me to keep up with the flooring industry.
I did intend for flooringpros to'come up' in a google search but when I kept pressing for this aspect, that is when I began to realize that I had 'hired the wrong guy'! I need someone with know-how to run the site with some direction from me as to what I would like to see.I am now at the point of 'deciding' what to do. Try to ressurect flooringpros or just shut it down completely.
So if someone with the KNOWLEDGE-ideas for the site and money ideas is interested in getting involved with flooringpros please p.m. me

I'm not very smart when it comes to anything computer tech! How do I put a working link on my profile so that it shows up in my posts? Or is this not permitted?
