I got an update in my email which included news that the official www.liberal.ca website had be re-done.

I have to say its WAY better than the old one, the old one was kinda dated.

$1:
The Liberal Party’s Web site at www.liberal.ca has been completely reworked. Please be sure to take a few minutes to look at it. At the grassroots level we are offering new outlets for Liberals to get involved.

Party memberships are now available instantly online. There is no longer a need to wait for forms to arrive in the mail. That option is obviously still available but you can quickly join or renew from your computer. The copy of your membership form that you receive upon filling out the online membership can serve as your membership card until it arrives.

There is a long list of other reasons to visit our Web site. You can follow the leadership race as we go through the process of leadership and policy forums, delegate elections, and finally the Leadership and Biennial Convention in Montreal, Quebec, between November 28 and December 3, 2006.

There are numerous Liberal events in all the provinces and territories in coming months. You can see a selection of them in our ‘upcoming events’ section. Our site has consistently shown more events in more places than any other Canadian political party.

We are updating the stories on the site nearly every day as we try to keep up with the hypocrisy that has come to define the Conservative Party’s time in office.

Under ‘Radio Free Liberal’ you can listen, through streaming or a podcast, to our MPs and Senators discuss a number of the issues facing the country.
