CHEWING THE CANADIAN BACON

Chewing the Canadian Bacon is a brand new editorial community aimed at providing all Canadians with a medium for discussion, debate, and the free exchange of ideas and opinions. We firmly believe there is a difference between being told what to believe vs. finding out for yourself. CTCB offers an alternative to the typical forms of news media by applying discussion and critical analysis to the wide array of current events and issues compelling to Canadians.

Our product is built upon YOUR values and opinions! Whether it’s about politics, philosophy, lifestyle, entertainment and sports, or just simply entertaining ideas, we want to hear what’s on your mind! Our mission is to encourage all Canadians to think critically about the world we live in.

This is a pilot website, we are relying on you to develop content that you think is important to Canadians!

That was just a tad rude...

This site posts editorials, that is the difference.

BluesBud @ Fri Oct 27, 2006 5:42 pm

Maybe a tad rude but I give no quarter to someone who has spent little to no time on this site. Then promotes his own. That in my books is rude.

The only regret I now have is that in giving a responce, I have now put the thread (Ad for the site) back up on the board once again for the comunity to see once again. I for one will not post this thread again. A blessing for "chewingthebacon" I am sure.

The point of this part of the forums ("Canadian Websites") is to advertise.

hind sight and blind sided

Canadaka @ Sat Oct 28, 2006 2:37 pm

was not necassary to ban him, i do allow people to post about other Canadian websites. Even thoug this site is competition to CKA. But CKA already does everything mentioned above and has a large audience, not to mention the largest general canadian forums.

There have been tone of sites that would be considered competition to CKA, but im not worried, nothing has come close. Especially with the most valuable asset, all of you, the great community of members here.

I have merged the 2 topics posted together.
BluesBud is kinda right as well, this forum is to talk about canadian sites, but for an unknown users first post, it is pretty spamish.

oh and CKA does editorials as well, http://www.canadaka.net/news
and J.J. from the new Filibuster/cka forums will be starting an editorial column soon.

I saw the first one(deleted now) and the one with Mr. Canada saying he thought it was not a bad thing.I agree,it's in the right place and even if it's only a first post the site look's not bad, there's room for 2 sites here in Canada that kick ass!

EDIT-guess I missed the 3 topics.

I'd like to know about other cool Canadian sites. However, I don't like spam. I don't think that these forums are so full of good debate and difference of opinion that it needs to sluff off extra content or members. Continuing to see the same speel under different threads is anoying at best.
