whoa !? ever hear of wage and price control ? It's a simple and basic theory but in the economists eyes and the investments circles eyes it just doesn't wash. Poverty will never be beat with those things in the way lol Your idea of buying the poor a loaf of bread so to speak is just a tax mask to balance out the poverty . Hey think about it we already have that in place with GST , PST , Gas and Oil revenues , Land Tax etc . Sorry increasing the taxes doesn't make the problem go away it just gets worse by the day .
