No idea what Canadian law is like with regards to modifications like this but maybe it's something you could mess with if you can.
I know a couple of local guys who heavily modify, one with Jeeps and one with Suzukis, and their "products" are road legal, so there must be quite a bit of leeway.

Wow, a unibody vehicle mated to a frame - sounds pretty weird. Also, GC's never came with 318's. They do have an optional 360 = 5.7L hemi
I did have a 72 Dodge Dart with a 318 and that was one tough car. Not as tough as my mother's 64 Valiant with slant 6 tho, that I learned to drive on.

Undoubtedly i love it. Its not pretty because it looks superb.

OMG. I love this car. You have done a great job. Actually till i can't buy this but one day I'll. That is the one wish of my life that i bought this jeep. The first one is my favorite. Can you imagine, whenever i have seen this car my heart beat is fast and fast. Thanks to share this pics here with us.
