As for the Chevy/Dodge thing...does it really matter? Neither are selling, both have fallen years behind their foreign competitors in R&D.
And let's not forget that GM has used Honda and Toyota engines in the past as well
Take a look at the Chevy Equinox and the Suzuki XL-7 they are identical......and it's Suzuki who make it!

The quip about displacement refers to the big block/small block rivalry that predates the use of Japanese engines in NA products. It also works currently as the new Hemi is a small block, where as the real competition for a Rat was the 426.
Yup small blocks are for kids!

I watched where they got some unreal numbers on a truck show with a cummins also that had a cold air kit,nitrous and chipped.Think it was over 900 hp but I could be wrong.
