My jaw almost hit the floor. Turned the corner, saw it, had a wtf is that looks like
an old Chrysler/AMC POS... OMG IT IS !
A very old AMC Eagle.
So many questions...
How did it survive and not fall apart from rust ?
How did it get to Europe ?
Who would be insane enough to import such a thing ?
Who would have the balls to drive that around town ?
Turns out, old guy, big smile on his face while we were waiting for the light to change.
Big thumbs up from us !
I lol'd.
I knew that old wood stickered profile a mile away!
Those were 4WD weren't they?
There be a few in Europe.
AMC was part owned by Renault before Chrysler took it over, the Eagle was a mashup from the Jeep division & the AMC Concord. I don't think any were actually made for the European market but there are collector there as well as here.
There's two of them in our town as daily drivers, not particularly rusty at all. Plastic fender skirts saved them from much of the rot on 1980s pickups.
That colour seems to be the only one. I've never seen one another colour.
This one looks pretty damn good!
