Curious, what kind of computer are you using for this?
My old game box has been fine playing Battlefield 2, but BF:BC requires at least a dual core to run so I'm buying a new machine probably in June after I get back from Canada. Meaning I'm interested in a recommendation.
Bad Company 2 fucking rocks! Best game since BF2. Loving the return to squad play and teamwork. Been too long run-n-gun solo Call of Duty action. Modern Warfare 2 is dead to be now, heh.
It has created a massive boost to the CKA Gaming Clan, we are busy like the good old BF2 days. 10-20 people on teamspeak most nights.
CKA also has its own BC2 server that is packed every day! name: CANADA KICKS ASS
We have a 2nd 16 slot server on its way for Squad death match and matches.
To be honest with you I don't know shit when it comes to what kind of PC I have.
I do know when I went into the shop about 3 years ago and wanted a gamming rig I did spend $1400 on it. Monitor, peripherals, etc... not incl.
So far I'm just playing the campaign and want to finish that first before I go multi, so I have no idea yet as to how my rig will handle that. But so far, so good.
I have an overclocked Q6600 Quad core (3Ghz) with a Radeon 4870. I run the game at 1680 resolution on mostly high settings, i turn shadows and effects to medium, and disabled bloom and HDAO. With those settings i get between 40-60 FPS.
But there are members in the CKA clan with far older equipment that are running the game on lowest settings and resolution and its playable. But its hard to compete against someone with a high FPS and huge resolution.
Ok ok 1 question here. I watched the trailer, are you telling me that the game looks and moves just like that?? Cuz if it does, it looks pretty farking BAD ASS!! Might just have to check it out when I'm done with LOTRO.

The game play is that exactly, the level of visual detail will vary from rig to righ though.
Sweeeet. Thinking about upgrading to a new system shortly anyway so I should check out the game with this unit so I have a good idea of what I might need for maximum enjoyment
