So, I guess we're getting bumped to 10:00pm Atl by Fubar, so you'll have to wait another hour... that's probably a better time for the ROC anyway.

kitty @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 5:25 pm

how about some Stan Getz and his super sexy sax

Blue_Nose @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 5:46 pm

No Stan this week... but if I'm crazy enough to attempt another show (hopefully I'll be a little more time efficient next time) I'll be sure to include some...

Blue_Nose @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 7:11 pm

My show's on!

GunPlumber @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 8:13 pm

Can't get thru on irc tonight, so i thought i'd drop a note here

WAY COOL SET!

(that sarah vaughn number had me grinnin ear2ear -haven't heard that song in years).

real good choices, not too eclectic, but not too predictable

Blue_Nose @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 8:19 pm

I'm glad you caught it... I wasn't sure if you knew I was playing!

BluesBud @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 8:21 pm

What cd was the metalwood track from? BTW the whole show sounds great!

Blue_Nose @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 8:28 pm

Fubar says I need to talk inbetween songs... I guess he's right

it was from their 2001 album, The Recline. It's a great one, for sure.

I'm wrapping up, I think.... one more from Jamie Callum, and cap it off with, of course, Mingus.

BluesBud @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 8:31 pm

OoooooNooooo! I tuned in late. Sorry I got busy with a project but what a I heard was great. Keep it up Bud!

GunPlumber @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 8:40 pm

that last jamie callum tune caught me right off guard

i recognized the song from the opening bass riff, but I never realized ('til now) what an obvious choice "The Wind Cries Mary" is for a jazz interpretation.

lookin forward to your next show

FuBaR @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 8:44 pm

Stay tuned folks. FuBaRs Balst Back With A Six Pack is coming up next. We are starting things off with a little ABBA amd the tunes wont stop all ngiht. Check out the forum link for my show!

BurytheNDPforgood @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 10:44 pm

How about Stanley Turrentine and the Three Sounds.....something from "Blue Hour"?

Ripcat @ Wed Mar 29, 2006 7:05 pm

***waits patiently for some jazz***

It's your time slot BN! Where are you?

BluesBud @ Wed Mar 29, 2006 7:24 pm

Where's Da Jazz? I could fill in but I don't want to step on toes. Or start to be known as an Air Hog!
