does anyone know how to transfer hi8 video tape to a computer. i was told you can do it with some device, but i don't know what its called or where to get it. thanks

   

You can copy it with a tv tuner card and the appropriate cables (RCA).
I suppose you have RCA and audio outputs on your camera.

You then use a program to grab video from the tv tuner and audio from the line in of sound card.
