On my own computer at home.. I CANNOT ACCESS THIS SITE! Every time I goto these forums.. my IE craps out, and give me a SEND ERROR REPORT, and goes to desktop. I dont get it.. My girlfriends computer on the saem desk works fine.. this computer at work workd fine.. but my wont do it.. Its the ONLY website I cant access.. Ive tried re-installing IE.. messed around with cookie security stuff.. but nothing works.. any Ideas anyone.. Please help.. its annoying..

   

Few tips.

1. Don't use Internet Explorer
2. Use ad-aware 6.0 and spybot 1.2 on a weekly bases.
3. Get a good anti-virus software.

PS: Instead using Internet Explorer (which is a virus and adware/spyware magnet) Use Mozilla Firefox, its a much better browser, download it here. Its what i use and i love it. But dont uninstall EI, just delete the shortcut on the desktop and forget about it.

   

Hey thanks - the same thing happens to mine. All the IE windows from this board just disappear - so I bring it back up (the IE window I'm talking about) and then it works fine.

Have to give that Mozilla Firefox a go - sounds like some kind of corny Japanese film from the sixties.

   

1. I use adaware fairly often
2. I have good antivirus realtime protection.

BUT.. why wont it work on my PC when it works on all others i try it on? I actually use a program called Bazooka spyware detect, which i find better than adaware. It has detected stuff ad aware cant see with latest update.. anyway.. thanx for the help.... I hope someone else has had this same prob though and can help me fix it... drives me nuts just knowing something isnt right..

   

You also need to use Spybot 1.2. Download it update it and use it.
Also many trojans get through anti-virus software use this .

Few more tips.

- Clear internet cookie, cache and history
- Defrag you HD

after you do all this, reboot.

   

My cookies and all temp files are removed on boot-up.. i use supercleaner.. i defrag constantly every couple days completely, and when comp is idle, it defrags with cacheman.. a virtual memory organizer..Ill try the spybot though.. I cant see how this would affect my comp erroring on one site only.. it freekin weird..

i dont know what else to tell yeh, download firefox and see if it works wthi that browser. If it does then you know its EI.

   

that is wierd, i use IE and i never have problems except with going from the emails i get about the reply stuff to the site and logging in. so i just type teh url and then log in and it works fine all the time.

   

I just installed firefox today and obviously its worked scince i am posting from home... must be IE.. but i dont know why its just MY IE .. weird..

   

Firefox is great. you can download new skins for it too.

Like i said before, IE is a magnet for internet crap like adware andspyware, and all kinds of gliches. Since you used ad-ware and those programs its confusing why this site doesnt work for u when using EI. I dont like sweeping problems under the rug but i dont know what else to suggest.

   

there is something weird going on with the forms and some peoples IE. It seems to just be the forums. I can't figure out what it could be... as i dont have it.

   

Yes.. thats what was happening to me.. i could go to the main page.. look at all that stuff.. but as soon as i clicked forums.. BANG..shutdown!
