CBC forgot to tell us this:

"The Santa Fe Police Department confirmed explosive devices were found at the campus of the high school and the "surrounding areas adjacent to the school." The school has been evacuated and the campus was cleared, the Santa Fe Police Department said."

They were just talking about it on the radio. Sorry Goebbels, it's not a conspiracy. Go back to your video loops of Alex Jones ripping off his shirt.

DrCaleb @ Fri May 18, 2018 10:48 am

I wasn't even going to post an article on this one.

Does it really matter any more? Nothing will change, and half these victims will be labelled 'crisis actors' in a few respectful days anyhow - just to inject a little doubt and ensure nothing changes.

Who said it was Mr Peabody. Why don't you and Sherman hop on the wayback machine and go find us some fractured history on it.

But yes CBC often buries the lede or leaves a major factor out of the lead story to give it a mention on the back pages so to speak.

That's not a conspiracy it's just something CBC does over and over again. It may just be incompetence.

But when that happens it's necessary to mention what was missed or your little troop of looney tunes are going to be dancing around chanting what they heard on Salon about how NRA members are attacking America or whatever.

If that's what your encouraging come back to reality.

Oh do can the virtue signaling. You also missed the one about the Trump derangement guy who shot up the resort.

Was that also because it happens all the time?

???
Quote the very article you post
$1:
An unknown number of possible explosive devices were found at the school and off campus. Authorities were in the process of rendering them safe and asked the public to call 911 if they see anything suspicious.

Did you miss that?
Or did you mean something else?

N_Fiddledog @ Fri May 18, 2018 11:47 am

People were shot. Explosive devices of some sort were also a threat.

N_Fiddledog @ Fri May 18, 2018 11:55 am

Explosive devices in the background are not uncommon.

Most often they're just some Mickey Mouse thing like a propane container or a Molotov cocktail.

But it does show there are other options. Right now guns are easy so that's where the copycat attention seekers go but it didn't take long for dysfunctionals to jump on 'Truck of Peace' style attacks after ISIS made them famous.

How long before somebody brings a pressure-cooker style nail bomb into a school? Then what's going to happen?

Ok, so what’s that got to do with the CBC? Fox mentions it in paragraph three, CBC in paragraph three??

N_Fiddledog @ Fri May 18, 2018 12:07 pm

OK, I see what you mean.

They've updated the CBC story.

I checked for the word explosive in the article before I posted that it wasn't there. It is now. Could have just been them being slow. Good for them for catching up.

Sure. Why not?

Look, it's true that the CBC gets sued for selectively reporting facts. For example here:

$1:
In short, CBC destroyed the life the Leenens had known.

When the case went to trial the evidence overwhelmingly showed that CBC left out key information, distorted the views offered up by Dr. Frans Leenen and had generally worked at making the interviews fit the story they had decided on before the project even began.

I believe the doctor was successful there. I know Colour Your World was:

$1:
TORONTO- In a significant defamation case, the Colour Your World company has won $85,000 in damages against the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for a report about the potential health hazards of mercury in latex paint.
Mr. Justice William P. Somers of the Ontario Court's General Division found the CBC liable for a 12-minute report broadcast on its Marketplace program in April 1990.

The judge ruled the report was defamatory because it suggested that the mercury used in paint was the same type that caused two cases of mass food poisoning in Japan and Canada.

And he found the CBC guilty of malice because it failed to mention that the company planned to remove mercury from its product.

But because they've been caught on multiple occasions with their selective reporting it doesn't mean that's all they'll ever do.

In this case of the Texas shooting for example they later posted an update from the Associated Press. And as I said, "good for them."

Virtue signaling is what the alt-right nutbags call an act of good.

Used to be "do-gooder." I always thought "Well, yeah, I'm a do-gooder. Would you rather I were a do-badder?"
