Advocates urge Canada to step up after Trump's refugee halt
Sounds like an expensive proposition. That's at least 50000 more people a year that Canada has to support. I don't know the logic of allowing immigration when the economy isn't doing so good and unemployment is so high.

The economy isn't a pie. You won't have to share it with 50,000 more people.

No, it's more like an engine. You have to get it going first before you can go anywhere with it. It's exactly why countries do anything possible to avoid deflation. If the economy were humming along, importing people would be ok, even if most are the unskilled kind. Are you are doing right now if keeping these guys on the government dole and using tax dollars until the economy picks up again.
Do you think there is an upper limit to the amount of immigrants can enter Canada say in a single year?

Francis should step out of the safety of the Vatican's walls and go see the crisis the rapefugee invasion has unleashed on the streets of Italian cities. Even small towns are seeing violent crime now that they've never experienced before because of the invaders.
