So, Al Gore is now a crusader for the environment. Does Al Gore have any credibility on this issue. Let us do a reality check.

He has openly called for Canada to reduce production of the Tar Sands. Sorry, we cannot do anything. Under the Canada-US Free Trade Agreement, USA has complete access to Canada's oil. Canada must feed USA's oil addiction. Al Gore supported this free trade deal. So Al, if you want Canada to do something with the Tar Sands, then call for the cancellation of the Free Trade Deal.

Canada will not do anything about it. The Conservatives are poodles of the oil companies. The Liberals are too cowardly to challenge the Calgary Oil Companies. Even if you suck up to them, the Liberals will not win any seats in Calgary anyways.

   

It's also looking like the Kyoto agreement isn't constitutional either.
I'm not a mean spirited man but having Al Gore booted in the goolies till he dies would be a start.
