Yes but it allows for the fans to get into the spirit. Trash-talking and stat watching keep interest and hence ticket sales and viewership up. Sure early winning and/or losing streaks are often a bad judge of who will be in the playoffs and who will be in the Grey cup but anything that fires up the fans is a good thing.

Agreed, I just don't put much stock in it, though I'd surely be waving my Stamps flag if they were listed #1 right now. Good thing is that based on history I shouldn't have to worry about their crappy start.
