Are Muslims the new Jews. We know how well Jews were treated over the centuries including by the Religion of Peace, Christianity.
Updated.
I thought the OP was clear when referring to Christianity.
It was referring to the treatment of Jews in Europe and NA.
The tenets of Christianity are peace.
Yet we see today how many tar Muslims, all 1 billion plus with a wide brush.

Well, if/when Muslims suffer from global hatred, discrimination, genuine attempts at extermination, slavery etc over the next 3-4 millennia, come on back and ask. Other than that, the question is pure piffle.
Hell, in Canada far more derision is directed at Christians than at Muslims these days.

I've seen it in here, in other forums, on FB and comments at the bottom of online articles from the standard media sources.
There's that group of people who will happily jump all over a story about some Christian(s) not acting very Christian. Yet out of that group, there's a large enough percentage that will justify the actions of someone from a non-Christian religion by exclaiming it's their right under "Freedom of Religion".

It's the same crap with Israel and Palestine. There are those who publicly wail and gnash their teeth whenever Israel drops some bombs on Gaza, yet remain strangely silent when attacks out of Gaza are nothing but blatant terror attacks.
Or when Hamas gets pinched hiding their war toys in mosques, hospitals or UN schools, you might get the obligatory, "they shouldn't do that, but..."
Yet if Israel bombs one of those buildings, based on the over-reaction to it you'd think Israel was indiscriminantly bombing civilian and civic structures just for shits and giggles.

Nah, Muslims have a LONG way to go before gaining the kind of enmity that the Jewish people are recipients of.
Although groups like al-quaeda, isis, hamas and the MB etc, sure seem like they want to speed up the process.

Little Known Fact:

"Most people in the West would be surprised by the answer to the question: who are the most persecuted people in the world? According to the International Society for Human Rights, a secular group with members in 38 states worldwide, 80 per cent of all acts of religious discrimination in the world today are directed at Christians.

The Centre for the Study of Global Christianity in the United States estimates that 100,000 Christians now die every year, targeted because of their faith – that is 11 every hour. The Pew Research Center says that hostility to religion reached a new high in 2012, when Christians faced some form of discrimination in 139 countries, almost three-quarters of the world's nations.

All this seems counter-intuitive here in the West where the history of Christianity has been one of cultural dominance and control ever since the Emperor Constantine converted and made the Roman Empire Christian in the 4th century AD.

Yet the plain fact is that Christians are languishing in jail for blasphemy in Pakistan, and churches are burned and worshippers regularly slaughtered in Nigeria and Egypt, which has recently seen its worst anti-Christian violence in seven centuries.

The most violent anti-Christian pogrom of the early 21st century saw as many as 500 Christians hacked to death by machete-wielding Hindu radicals in Orissa, India, with thousands more injured and 50,000 made homeless. In Burma, Chin and Karen Christians are routinely subjected to imprisonment, torture, forced labour and murder.

Persecution is increasing in China; and in North Korea a quarter of the country's Christians live in forced labour camps after refusing to join the national cult of the state's founder, Kim Il-Sung. Somalia, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and the Maldives all feature in the 10 worst places to be a Christian..."

It's actually Islam which styles itself "The Religion of Peace."

Even the world "Islam" means, loosely, "Peaceful".

And the sad thing is that the West largely ignores all this persecution of Christians.

When Muslims are slaughtered, like in Syria, David Cameron recalled parliament, desperate for British military action to stop it (parliament voted against it).

But when Christians are slaughtered by ISIS in northern Iraq, Cameron decides not to recall parliament, and instead prefers to stay on holiday in Portugal, strolling the beach with his wife and kids.

Even when Britain finally does something to help those persecuted by ISIS, by sending in the SAS and RAF planes laden with aid, the British media, such as BBC News and Sky News and the newspapers, only ever mention the Yazidis. "British aid is being sent to northern Iraq to help the 30,000 Yazidis stranded on Mount Sinjar." Yet the plight of the tens of thousands of Christians who are also being forced out of their homes and being bloodily slaughtered by ISIS is almost completely ignored.

It's no wonder that the Bishop of Leeds, Nicholas Baines, supported by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has written a strongly-worded letter to Cameron asking why is he concentrating only on helping the Yazidis but is ignoring the persecuted Christians.

Christians have stated that they are a Religion of peace, help thy neighbor, the poor. Recall the teachings of Jesus he did not preach War or hate.

I think the sadder thing is that in the west when people talk about the persecution of Christians they're more likely referring to the horror of a florist somewhere having to sell flowers for a gay wedding, rather than actual persecution. Perhaps people would be more inclined to pay attention to real acts of violence and persecution against Christians if they didn't constantly get inundated with the self-pitying whining of first world Christians who think the world is ending because they aren't allowed to put giant representations of the 10 commandments up in a courtroom.

Yes Christians are are being persecuted, slaughtered in a number of countries. Go to Myanmar and the Muslims are being murdered. And not one word from the Nobel peace prize winner. Not a single word. And this has been ongoing for
The Govt is letting extremists take control.
Yet every now and again the MSM writes a story on it, rare but at times.
In the OP I was referring to how Muslims are looked upon in the West.
Used to be the Jews.
