Man I’m getting tired of all these toy warnings. For anybody that can find 1 kid that has gotten sick from chewing on a toy, I’ll find you 1000 kids that have had a piece of their tongue ripped off by sticking it on a metal post in the winter. And what do we do, surround every school / playground with steel chain link fence and posts.

Ironic that they're issued by the generation that was brought home and placed in a crib painted with lead based paint, survived to adult hood WITHOUT wearing a helmet, and most likely ran through the house with scissors in their hands at some point.

Well I have to say I got hurt by scissors, my mom had made a dress for my older sister's school Christmas Concert, and all she had left to do was put the zipper in it. I was around 3 years old and was never allowed to play with her sewing scissors, while this day I found the dress and the scissors together and accidentally cut the dress to shreds just so I could be playing with them scissors.

She spanked my ass everytime she looked at me that day.

So I have to say yes, you can get hurt playing with scissors

I was always biting the top of pens, and tasting the ink, never harmed me.
