Sketchy information so far but this could be a really bad one as some very early reports are saying that there are already 20 to 50 "injured".

A shooting at a Florida high school Wednesday sent students rushing out into the streets as SWAT team members swarmed in and locked down the building, and police warned the shooter was still at large.
Ambulances converged on the scene as emergency workers appeared to be treating possibly wounded people on the sidewalks.
Television footage showed police in olive fatigues, with weapons drawn, entering the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, then dozens of children frantically running and walking quickly out. A police officer waved the students on, urging them to quickly evacuate the school.

By law and since 1990 all schools in Florida are 'gun free zones' where it's illegal for anyone to have a firearm.
I imagine the perpetrator will face serious repercussions for bringing a firearm onto school property.

The perp is supposedly in custody but on the radio they're saying the actual perp might be dead.

If the teacher is former military or a retired cop and they pass a current Peace Officer Standards and Training regimen then they'd be the equal of a reserve LEO.
How would that be backward?
