Here's the question. Given that she's not President yet and hopefully never becomes one, does Tim Kaine step up and become the Presidential candidate if she can't continue or does the party have to elect another candidate?
The reason I ask is because the running mate for VP is picked by the Presidential Candidate and not elected by the party.

I think if she withdraws then Tim Kaine can choose anyone with the full support of his party. If she's elected POTUS and resigns Tim Kanie's VP has to be approved by Congress.
