As the one who first posted the Gawker article here on CKA all those months ago, I stand completely vindicated. There was far too much smoke for there not to be a real fire somewhere, especially after Ford's chief of staff and communications people abruptly resigned. Ford has to step down now, as it's been successfully proven that he engaged in an illegal activity by ingesting the drugs. He has no other options left anymore.

Well he`s only got himself to blame. Interesting that some of his biggest detractors here have also been some of the biggest proponents of allowing anyone to ingest, inject or inhale whatever recreational chemical they choose. The police need to investigate things even more thoroughly

But Limpbaugh is about the only celebrity drug addict that the lefties ever went after. If any of the other dopers have the correct politics and party membership card in their wallet they pretty much get an automatic pass from the other squishes.

Why did the Police sit on it this long? Have they gathered more charges in the mean time to make an arrest on some of the other stuff around this story, perhaps?

Just like there is nothing wrong with having an openly gay politician, but an anti-gay politician who is secretly doing male prostitutes on the side is quite another matter.

Ford likely would have "gotten a pass" too if he'd owned up to it in the first place. Everyone loves a redemption story. All he had to do was admit the video was real, explained it, apologized for it and sought treatment. But nobody loves a liar. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Yesterday, the media won a court decision to have the court documents related to Lisi's arrest unsealed as of today. The documents mention Ford in detail, so the Police had to get infront of the story and publicise what they know.
Those documents can be viewed here, the media is going non-stop publishing juicy details almost as the read them! Police went throuh Ford's trash, followed him and Lisi on secret rendez-vous, there's enough here to go on for days!!

Ford has openly admitted that he has smoked a lot of dope prior to this, so he`s not exactly the poster boy for law and order hard liners.
