Canadian
So. Lets see if I understand this. US and Canada share intel from all sources (where required or pertinent). US and Canada both collect metadata on everyone in their own country but not content. The content of messages can be read for foreigners (for both US and Canada) if I read correctly. So Canada can intercept content and data from the US and visa versa. Seems to be a way around the privacy laws if you ask me.
Funny, I've been slammed for years for not trusting my government and now Canada's government is essentially saying they don't trust my government.
I guess that means that Ottawa is populated by a bunch of right-wing, racist, conspiracy nuts, eh?
Traveler in this one post of yours you hit it dead strait.
Sense both sides share intell but wont collect on their own citizens. The two sides can collect on the others citizens then "share" the data.
