As as we evolve our economy to a secondary, value-added economy and make sure the products we make are so damn top notch that it begs our customers to pay top dollar for it then we should be all right.
Well, get rid of the "made in China" crap then...
Canada is smoking hot right now, but productivity growth in the country is anemic. The sky-high loonie may change that, but if it doesn't Canada will continue to have the same problems it had in the 1990s (with far less debt which gives the country a great deal of flexibility).
