Seems fitting seeing as how 95% of the worlds influenza virus. SARS etc etc etc.Originate from China. It has been long thought that the next world pandemic will originate from that country.
H1N1 virus may not be in china yet. but what other creepy mutated influenza type virus is just sitting in China waiting for a pandemic outbreak.
Perhaps we need to quarantine every arriving chinese person flying into Canada from china as a precaution in case they might be sick with something that we don't know about yet.
No one is sick out of the Canadian group. None have been exposed to the virus..none had been in Mexico. Seriously WTF!!

Ludicrous absolutely ludicrous.
So how many Americans, or Europeans have been quarantined by chinese officials.
One Mexican man was found to have the H1N1 virus. So fine quarantine the flight from mexico or send them all home. I just find it funny that we weren't quarantining every Chinese person that came into Canada during the Sars epidemic. Or canceling flights from China. That was far worse a disease than this one. That was traced back directly to the lucrative civet cat industry in china.

ya thats right wada.. I'd bitch about that too.
Lets see try flying to a different country. then land be shown around taking tours then have the government completely restrict your freedom overnight. lock you away in quarantine for 7 days not be permitted to leave the hotel or even the country and basically get treated like your carrying the ebola virus and your NOT EVEN SICK!!..
But ya no I'd definately be the one bitching about nothing.. oh ya.. you bet...

I read the comments before the actual article and was preparing to be outraged.
But...

The students are being held in the picturesque city in a hotel, where they are the only guests, since being moved there Sunday.
The group must have medical examinations in which their temperatures are taken, four times a day.
Langlois noted it will be classes as usual for the students even though they are in quarantine.
They are being provided with meals and have been told they will not be allowed to leave for another five days.

I don't really agree with how over reactive the Chinese are being but you have to admit that if this ever got loose into the general public in China we would all have a lot to worry about.
