I thought it very necessary to add the 'scam' qualifier for fear that you would think I was spamming everyone. Luckily I am not. So, I work at a motel and we have a TV in the office. I think you could say I've accumulated a lot of time in front of the boob tube. We've all seen the commercials and at this point it is fairly clear that there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of 'companies' out there that are offering you and me money -- lots of it -- for our 'used gold.' And at this point you have to be asking where I am going with this. I have arrived at my destination: It is a scam. I think we all understand that if something is too good to be true it is and this, my forumite comrades, is to good to be true. So, I thought I would take it upon myself to spread the word about companies like Cash 4 Gold(.com) that are offering a 'convenience service' and basically ripping people off by offering them, far, far less than the actual value of the gold. So! For your expanding knowledge of bad news companies here are some links.

There you have it. Some info that I hope helps you guys and people you know from getting nailed by these crooks.
The commercials are priceless. They way they try to manipulate the viewer into thinking that gold they aren't wearing or is broken should be sent to them.
Isn't broken gold just a nugget waiting to form?
My personal favourite is when they tell you if you can find a better price, they'll give you double. If ummm you already sent them your gold, how the HELL are you gonna send it elsewhere to see if they give you more???
I was wondering how often the gold gets lost in the mail. Since the folks sending the gold have no clue what it's value is, it's unlikely they insure it properly.
The whole thing seems like a really stupid idea anyways.
Psssst, go to a pawn shop if yer desperate, they'll give you pretty much the same price as these jokers advertising on TV.
Generally speaking, very few places will actually buy your gold and jewelry for more than 1/7 of its actual worth. Not even jewelers, unless it's a striking piece.
These ads are a joke....With the price of gold and unheard of levels of course these idiots are going to jump at the opportunity...I love the ones that say they take diamonds too...
Anyone sending their gold to these people may as well flush it cuz they won't even get close to the actual value.
"Cash 4 Gold" is primarily a very handy way for thieves and burglars to readily fence stolen goods. They bust into someone's home, steal jewelry, and immediately mail it off in the handy, pre-paid mail bag to the good people at Cash 4 Gold who then melt down the evidence and send a check to the crooks.
LMFAOOOOOO Glen Beck is now a shill for Goldline, which is the same as the rest of those cash for gold bullshitters.
The only difference between his ad and the rest is...he encourages people to pray about it before sending their gold fkin putz
I think Goldline just sells gold... There's nothing on their website of them offering to buy your "used" gold. Nice try though..
Well I guess the commercial I just watched was a hallucination then.
They're also basically setting themselves up to be fences since you don't have to prove the gold you're sending them is actually yours.
You must be confused. Look for yourself.

You know who else buys gold though? Jooos and those pirates. They got lots of gold, though they usually steal it. Maybe you saw a pirate instead and got confused.
