I just buy my cats organic cat food from the health co op now.
works good. my kitties are happy and the company that sells the food cares about their own pets too!
I used to give my cat leftovers, maybe a bit of Catfood but she was too fussy for any cheap brands, it was KiteKat or nothing.

Trust me, you'll be surprised what is made from over there. I would venture to say it is nearly impossible to find a product that isn't made in at least 2 different countries.
The time is perfect for the big feed companies to bite the big one, and the deserve it. When people will pay thousands to save a $10 cat, you know that the higher cost feed that's not made with toxic waste and profeteering crooks, rather than locals who actually care.
I'm hoping that all the brands that built up so much trust get that stripped away because this didn't affect just the cheap brands, but almost all of the larger, international brands.
It still blows me away that products or cheap raw materials can be shipped halfway around the world and still make some profit. Something simple like cat/dog food. Why couldn't one of the larger buchers or supermarkets make and sell pet food on the side. They use up their scraps, keep some folks employed and start up an entire new profit stream.
Where the hells my apron.
Yes, there are some squirrels around would taste real good in cat chow!

That's what I've always wondered... Think of the profit they will make, when it doesn't have to shipped anywhere..
But... labourcosts are way higher in western countries. We don't set 8-year olds to work... But that is a whole different discussion

Hey I have always said that there is nothing wrong with a young work ethic.....just joking
Solution to high labour costs is automation. Hell, make it a co-op and pay part time people with pet food.

Well they sell beef flavored cat food...and when was the last ttime you saw a cat take out a cow!
Look here comes my kitty...whats that he's dragging behind him! I will be damned it's a fucking longhorn steer!

So squirrel sounds much more real to me....maybe some mice flavored treats to.
