Unfortunately for the CPC the Libs don't need luck on their side. Despite all the perceived weakness of Dion, the Libs consistently poll either slightly above or below the CPC and never is the CPC is majority range.

Yeah right!
The south will rise again! (sound track DIXIE)
DION is a close facsimile to a fence-post.....

Dion....a diamond in the rough...next PM... good bye stevie makes you wonder... big question is what to do with all the portraits in the Harper mirror mirror on the wall gallery in the foyer on Parliament Hill...

ridenrain @ Mon Feb 18, 2008 1:22 pm

You'd think that the man who was so determined to run the country would be committed enough to have full citizenship. A man cannot serve 2 masters and a man with one foot in Canada and one in France isn't a full Canadian to me.

Wow you Liberal hacks need a lesson in modern econmics, you stop an economic slowdown by A. Cutting Taxes or B. Lowering interest Rates. you guys watch way too much American News we are way better off the the US!

Also Steven Harper hasnt pissed any surpluses away he put them on the Debt where they belong and save us some millions of dollars a year in interest. It is the Liberals and NDP who want to spend spend spend!

By the way, with the way the economy took off in the mod 1990's anybody could have done what the Liberals did as they were flush with money even back then.

Remember in 1993 when Chretien promised to scrap the GST and didnt, now his Liberal buddies get all over Harper for even reducing it.

Sorry liberals you just dont cut the mustard anymore! Dion will never ever be PM!!!

he has full citizenship doorknob... you guys pull straws out of your ass to try and make a point.. If I had a buck for every dual citizen in this country I would be rich..
I have dual citizenship.. Canadian and British and I am 100% fucking Canadian...
find another scab to scratch will you ridenrain.. if you had a quarter of his education or intelligence you might be worthy of listening to.. but then you dont so why bother...

ridenrain @ Mon Feb 18, 2008 6:25 pm

By definition, the most you can have of something is 100% so dual citizenship must be a 50/50 split. You can't argue with the math.. and get used to hearing that because it's definately going to show up during the election.

kenmore @ Mon Feb 18, 2008 6:34 pm

ridenrain you surprise me .. you did complete grade 4... I was born in Montreal.. my papa was british.. I have citizenship from him.. M. Dion was also born here..sept 28 1955 in Quebec city. His mother Denyse was born in Paris France and he has citzenship from her.. However we are both 100% Canadian no matter what math class you took. I notice your signature is German.. how bout yourself? hmmm....
Ich bin ein Kanadier

westmanguy @ Mon Feb 18, 2008 6:43 pm

I'm of the opinion that dual citizenship should be illegal.

To become a citizen of Canada you should have to renounce all former citizenship allegiances. And if you leave Canada for another country you lose your Canadian citizenship.

kenmore @ Mon Feb 18, 2008 7:16 pm

no its very legal. and for ridenrain .. a few more parliamentarians who hold dual citizenship include Conservative Minister of Health Tony Clement, Conservative MP Myron Thompson, and NDP caucus members Libby Davies and Olivia Chow.... oh looky looky Tony and Myron .. tories.. oh my..

ridenrain @ Mon Feb 18, 2008 7:28 pm

None of which want to lead Canada.
As for my siggy. It's an obvious support for Ezra Levant.

I agree with Westmanguy. I see no advantage to Canada in dual citizens.

Johnny_Utah @ Mon Feb 18, 2008 7:36 pm

If the Liberal Party wants a real chance they need to get rid of Dion who's a puppet for Chretien, they need someone like Manley..

devinhallsworth @ Mon Feb 18, 2008 8:01 pm

If the liberals want to get back into power they need to learn to actually keep their election promises. Canadians have had a taste of what a government that actually keeps its election promises is like in the harper torys.
