video games do not cause people to be violent. Why do people keep claiming that?

Because liberals and leftists love to mindlessly ban things. It gives them a little proto-sexual thrill because they can affect the appearance of "doing something" about a problem without actually doing anything substantial about the problem.

A black man goes on a murder spree (as if that's never been seen before)?

The problem is obviously white and Asian teenagers who play video games.

If we did a thread about FOX and Breitbart hitting a new low we'd be up to about 300 pages in a year just from all the daily updates.

Well I don't put much stock in random YouTube rants by random internet weirdos (side note: why does every conservative look like nobody's ever had consensual sex with them?)

I wouldn't call criticism of violent video games "a new low" whether one agrees with it or not, it's not a "new" idea. People have been commenting in the relationship for decades. Nor is it a "low" as if video games are some kind of sacred pillar of society above criticism like veterans or the disabled or the something

Also note that CNN didn't make any such statement about video games. That statement has been made in a report jointly authored by the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, among others. The alleged CNN comment was made during a panel discussion where a CNN panelists briefly mentioned that the killierin question had filmed the murder from a smart phone and it looked like a first-person shooter game.

But keep believing what you want and keep telling yourself that pizzagate is real and Sandy Hook is fake.

Pearl clutchers have been blaming video games for violence since before Columbine, it's nothing new, and neither is news outfits like CNN giving them the time of day.

"new low"? "low"?

There's nothing low about CNN, unless you loathe the truth. Fake news doesn't get to call real news "low".

CNN and truth...news..... ROTFL ROTFL

Their talking heads are always high Tequila laced Wolf Spritzers.

You've been duped. Do you feel smart or stupid about it?

One could ask you the same question. Then again you probably believed all the BS they came out with during the election, so why bother.

Like Benghazi and missing emails and selling plutonium and pizzagate? Most of the BS came from the Republican nutter camp.

There may be some truth to people who supported Hillary spreading those rumours early on, but none were connected to the Hillary campaign. Two HRC staffers had publicly suggested Obama was Muslim (not calling him Kenyan, just an American Muslim) were actually fired for doing so.

Anyway, regardless of who started it, REPUBLICANS own it now. Some HRC supporters may have thought it was a convenient dirty trick during the 2008 primaries and may have even secretly spread the rumour while disavowing it in public as they knew it wasn't true. But Republicans including your Orange Exalted One are the only fools who fell for it hook line and sinker and went bat shit crazy over it for the next 8 years. You can't go on an 8-year shooting spree and then blame the guy who gave you the gun 8 years ago.
