As long as we sexuliase things, the notion of unisex changerooms will make a difference to 15-year-old boys. Beyond that demographic, why is this any issue?

Here's a for instance. You have someone, be it a 15 year old boy or an adult who decides he or she is going to shove a camera under the barrier and start snapping photo's of someones daughter changing. The world is full of predators.

It's an issue because the designer is not delivering what was earlier promised. Hence, people dont want to pay for it.

No it's not assuming the worst. It's preventing a problem. I say spend the extra cash put in separate change rooms and move on.
