Sorry, I've answered as best I can I don't know what else to say, other than to reiterate that an abortion would kill the baby, a C-section would allow it to live.

This thread IS about abortion. Why would a c-section be appropriate for a late term abortion?

Why would a vaginal birth not allow a baby to live?

I've allready answered it, again, in case the the last two times were not clear

A late term abortion when the baby is viable outside the womb, would kill the baby therefore, no doctor wil do it unless the baby is seriously malformed or for the life of the mother. So, no doctor will kill the baby just because the mother doesn't want to be pregnant anymore therefore it would have to be a live birth, either vaginal or a C section. I did mention vaginal birth as an option.

I'm not going around in circles anymore on this and will not reply again.

No offense, but maybe you should have read the rest of the thread before you barged in, talking out of your ass and acting all insulted now.

That still has not answered my question as to why a c-section would be appropriate at any time...

Why does it matter how it's done? Do you know how equally gruesome the other options are?

I want to know what makes a c-section more appropriate than a vaginal birth with a late term abortion (which in itself, is gruesome enough). Vaginal birth is preferred by the medical profession when it comes to still births (mostly for mental health), so why would this be different? The idea of having a permanent scar from a c-section because you chose to "abort the pregnancy at a late term", 6 weeks recovery time if you are lucky, as opposed to about 10 days with a vaginal birth...

So for a woman, yeah, you are damned straight that it matters how it is done.

So why would you want your dead, often dismembered child pulled through your vagina?

Wouldn't you prefer an nice incision that's sealed up, or look at your vagina for the rest of your life knowing your dead child was dragged out of it?

Do you think a woman will EVER forget? If you use that for an excuse, why don't you start off by saying that ANY late term abortion is stupid? ANY late term abortion will be unforgettable, as will the reason be. ANY still birth or miscarriage is unforgettable. I miscarried 15 years or so ago, and I can still see it laying in the toilet. So really, if you choose to have a late term abortion, don't you think ANY experience would be forgotten?

WHY would anyone choose for a late term abortion when you can choose for an early term abortion too, which is physically way easier?

I can only hope you're being sarcastic with this post.

A little tactical update on this as per the OP. This guy is not going to give up though his options seem to be either a motion in the Commons or a private members bill. To my knowledge he seems to be a voice in the void. No one publicly has either supported or opposed him.

Aside from being kicked out of the Party I don't think there is any way to demote or discipline him as he is just an ordinary backbencher. Either he has been told by Harper to be quiet and has not listened or Harper never mentioned it to him. Also possible that Harper does not even know this is going on, I suppose. Anyhow:

I suspect Harper knows what's going on but would prefer to ignore it. If he jumps on this guy too hard he risks alienating the social conservatives in his base but on the other hand I don't think he has any interest in actually getting involved in this issue.

I think you are right on that. This guy really cannot get very far on his own and Harper has nothing to gain by doing anything at all.

It will be a long time coming before this guy becomes a Cabinet Minister though, I hope.
